In this course, students study both American medicolegal system and law enforcement responses to suspicious, equivocal, suicidal, and homicidal deaths. This course also describes behaviors associated with differing categories of homicide, including killing as it emerges from criminal enterprises, such as robbery, arson, and sexual assault, as well as death occurring in the context of violent disputes, domestic abuse, and hate-related violence.
